Teachers at Centaurus are very dedicated to the students and their learning, so Ms. Piercy’s second period class decided to give back and help out.

Ms. Piercy created the Crash Cart.  It is a cart the students drive around to all of the teachers during second period. It contains free water and coffee. Also they sell soda and chips for $ 0.50 and candy for a dollar.

This all started in a CGC meeting, when a Centaurus student said that teachers here sometimes don’t get a break and get exhausted by the end of the day because they are so busy helping students succeed.

The Crash Cart has been very beneficial to both the teachers and the students running the cart:  while the teachers can enjoy a free coffee the students learn skills such as meeting new people, counting change, and being polite and respectful.

The cart  just started the December 8. It has been a overall success and the teachers of Centaurus are very appreciative.
