There is plenty of news and reaction to catch up on after a wild finish to Super Bowl XLIX. There were hours of additional coverage before, during, and after the game. That coverage began early Sunday and continued past the midnight hour.

It was the Seattle Seahawks vs the New England Patriots. The Patriots ended up winning 28-24 over the Seahawks.

The game itself looked like a great matchup on paper. The Seahawks entered Super Bowl XLIX as the first team to make back-to-back trips since the Patriots did a decade earlier. Seattle’s defense ranked top of the league in points.

But the Seahawks weren’t just about defense. They possessed the league’s top rushing attack behind Marshawn Lynch and dual-threat quarterback Russell Wilson.

Meanwhile, the Patriots returned to the Super Bowl after a three-year absence with a more talented and healthier team. In their last trip, All-Pro tightend Rob Gronkowski was severely limited with an ankle injury. Perhaps because of that injury, Gronkowski was unable to come down with the football on the final play of the contest, a result that cost New England the game.

Ultimately, Brady’s four touchdown effort deservedly stole the show. It also earned him another MVP award. In the end though, it’s the win that matters. Brady and the Patriots have it thanks largely to the quarterback’s 328 passing yards.
