Darling, dearest, baby girl blue

Fingernails cracked like a tempest to rue

Watchful, solemn, eyes dripping red

Black sandy beaches, a young siren’s bed

Midnight, moonlight, dapple and dare

Shells of belt buckles, seaweed of hair

Baby girl walks in bloom ‘til the spring

When apple meets rotten and fury meets king

Dreams of lavender, lily and lime

Ghosts in white dresses meander through time

Baby girl swims in a luminous pool

Under each eye is a secondhand jewel

Dearest, darling, baby girl blue

Ophelia, what have they done to you?
